ABOUT HCI
CORPORATE HISTORY
Founded in 2004 by Aleksis Kirby, HitCorp International (HCI) began as a specialized roleplay group focused on the theme of contract security services. Over two decades, HCI has evolved from its roots in text-based roleplay into a multi-platform powerhouse.
We maintain a continuous, active presence in Second Life and have expanded tactical operations through Operation Flashpoint and the ARMA series. Our structure reflects the efficiency and cold pragmatism of a global security firm.
CORE INSPIRATION
HCI takes aesthetic and philosophical cues from the "Megacorp" tropes of 80s dystopian fiction. We look to icons of private security with limited accountability, such as:
- OCP (RoboCop)
- Umbrella Corp (Resident Evil)
- Weyland-Yutani (Alien)
In-character, we navigate a morally grey landscape, often operating as the primary antagonist.
OPERATIONAL STRUCTURE
Security Solutions (SSD): Tactical field services, protective details, and the elite Crisis Response Team (CRT).
Tech & Comm (TCD): Security infrastructure, aviation, and our dedicated private fire service simulation.
GROUP VALUES (OOC)
Despite our in-character portrayal of a dystopian megacorp, our community is built on OOC respect and professionalism.
• Respect: A strict line between IC conflict and OOC conduct.
• Authenticity: Striving for realism without compromising fun.
• Accessibility: Ensuring all members can engage with our deep lore.
